The Wide Mouth series has different volume capacities compared to the standard mouth. . .the only common size is 18oz, which on the Wide Mouth is 2.91" vs 2.87" for the standard.

The smaller mouth bottles should have a similar profile of a standard 16.9oz water bottle

The orange one in the pic is the bottle I used for fitment. The other bottles to it's left will fit the standard 3" cup holder. The silver one on the right is for a horse. A human would pee themselves 1/2 way through the bottle.

I had written down a suggestion that you consider making optional “rings” to make the holes smaller if desired...sort of like the Weathertech phone holders made to fit in cup holders—that include a few progressively sized rings to fit in any size cup hole.
But I didn’t post it because it felt like nitpicking after you already finished the design.
But...you already did the ring idea!
Awesome!OK so now so will suggest doing away with the pen holes...since crud will be hard to get out of them.
But either way...this new product will truly take advantage of the full space. Very cool.

It’s those larger bottles I was hoping would fit.
I personally have avoided those larger one ONLY because they won’t fit in my stock cup holder. Otherwise...that’s the size I prefer. Wooo!

The last versions discussed are now in production. They wont be released until I have a good sized batch done. I'm looking at releasing these near the end of next week. I will post up on here once they are available.

I just got the original water holder a couple weeks ago and love it.
Been using the left side for coffee and no right side, just a paper towel stuffed around my hydroflask.

The larger hole fits the 32oz and 40oz Hydro Flasks?
As I have a 32 and a 40 right here, the base is the same size on both.
Edit: Development was done with a 32, so they'll work.
Your looking at a 32oz. in the pic and the 40oz. has the same bottom diameter. I tested fitment on the actual name brand, costco brand, and Amazon knock off. They all fit fine.

Ya, I just confirmed at REI about the 32/40 bases size being identical...because I had the same question. Reeeeally looking forward to finally having a spot for a truly large bottle!!
I have his originals, but I am definitely “upgrading.”
The sizing-ring solution is going to be super helpful.
Hard to choose, with both new versions having advantages. A good “first world problem” to have!

So the first few new cup holder designs were sent out this week to guys on here for real world testing ( @Markuson, @laserturbo91, and @DRCocaCola ) and for interior pics we can use on our website. This design is for the Landcruiser. Now I need to do the same thing for the LX570. Anyone willing to loan me the console piece that goes around the cup holder for a couple weeks? They will get the first cup holder for free out of the deal and I will cover all the shipping costs for ship everything here and back. To the 3 guys I sent cup holders to, I think 2 of you are heading to the Colorado event this week. Could one of you find an LX570 and see how the new design fits in that console. I'm pretty sure it will not seat all they way due to the depth of the OEM cup holder but I would like to get an idea on how far off fitment is. Maybe snap some pics?
