Hey all,

As announced at this month's meeting, I will be hosting a club tech day at my place in Manassas on 14 November. I'm thinking a start time no earlier than 0900 is good.
One job scheduled is assessing Eduardo's front knuckles for rebuild and changing out his brake discs. I have room for 2 trucks in the garage (probably).
If anyone has other jobs they are interested in, post up here and we can talk about them.

This is also a great opportunity to hang out with prospective, new and old club members and show off your junk.
@iptman and his FJ40 may present a good opportunity to show how to do a tune up, including adjusting valves.

We can also grill up some food and I have means to keep beverages cold. We can do this a few ways,we can do a potluck or you can bring your own food and cook it up on the grill, or I can pick up a bunch of burgers or dogs and we can all chip in for it, or we can discuss using a combo of club and personal funds to purchase the food. Depending on how many people show interest, I may make a pot of chili as well. We can also discuss more details at next month's meeting.

I will post up my address in the private sectional for those with out private side access, PM me and I will send you the address.

Cheers,
Stump

No expertise from me, but i will eat food and drink beer!!

Stump, is the rest of the family gonna be there? Hoping other kids/wifes would be there to make the trip easier to make.

Not 100% sure yet. But most likely, yes.

Looks like I should be able to make it. Not much expertise to offer, but don't need anything fixed either unless it's my knees. Look forward to hanging out and helping where I can.

Can I just drop my Junk off and you can fix it!! I'm going to try and be there.

Does anyone have a good die set (metric preferably) and matching drill out bits? I've managed to trash the mounting treads in my M12000. I've never had to drill and tap anything so maybe this is something we could do?

I'm planning to be there for the morning. I'll get in line for some electrical help.

1. power supply to carb; it get's out of wack when running other things like heat. The carb stumbles and dies or is hard to start for a while until the power seems to stabilize.
2. right turn signal not working consistently; issue appears to be in the column. I've had it apart a few times and gotten it working, but after a few days it stops working again. Hazards work fine.
3. advice on upgrading fuse block
4. advice on changes needed to use internally regulated alternator with higher amps instead of my current ext regulated setup

Stump, is this on track to be family friendly?

I'm sure my wife and kids will post if there'll be others there. Seems like Stump's place has a lot of room for them to run around.

Cool! I'm talking to Steph about it tonight. There is a park down the road where the kids can play as well and Manassas might have some stuff going on in town as well.
