Mine is the same color and one day, hopefully, it will look like yours.

After seeing yours build pictures, if I only did one thing, I would do the tires.

If I did two things, I would do the tires and the rear bumper. The rear bumper with the spare tire carrier looks sweeeeeet.

The ideal would be all, of course.

Won't be doing a roof rack....I plan to build or buy some drawers, I'd also like to use the room where the spare used to be to hold water and fuel (obviously in seperate tanks...)

I was a motor officer in the Swedish Armed forces and as such we went through a 6-month "motor school" where we drove essentially anything that moved - in all types of conditions, but mostly cold and wet (down to -40F below).

Apart from tracked vehicles, the large 4x4 and 4x6 all terrain transport trucks were already eyed by me back then as a "camper conversion".

Increadibly easy to drive thanks to - already back then - an electronically controlled 6 speed automatic gearbox, and maybe the best treat; You hit a button on the floor and applied slight brake force to all four (six) wheels, but not more than that you could move as well It was perfect for slowly crawling over large boulders and ditches, w/o the risk of "accelerating" on the downslope.

These trucks ought to be available on the 2nd hand market today. Low mileage units that just are getting old... (I rolled one sideways once due to a soft ditch, buyer beware).

how may miles are on the terra grapplers now and how are they compared to your previous experiance with other tires?

I think I've put about 500 miles on them (I don't drive the cruiser much). So far I'm happy with them and my only complaint is they take a ton of weight to balance...

Since this thread I've sold the slee steps and rear bumper, steps were rusting bad and the bumper got to be a PITA everytime I wanted to get into the back (well that is what my wife told me anyway...). Also added a dual battery system and some lighting. Last week some moron ran into the passenger side of my truck and dented the lower part of both doors and the rear quarter. Also the factory side step was destroyed along with the rear tire. I was able to get a check for some of the repairs and with that ordered some ARB side steps with rails and a TJM snorkel... I will try to find the missing pics in this thread and update it as I install the new parts...

Also planning on getting a rhino roof rack, fox wing awning and rhino cargo box as a x-mas gift to me and if I can swing it might update the headunit and speakers..

The Slee steps were rusting? Was there trail damage on them that you didn't touch up with paint, or what? Rig still looks good, sorry to hear about the accident.

No I had the original steps and there was an issue where the step insert was welded to the rails with the powder coat...I'm pretty sure slee has now changed the design so its no longer an issue..

Is that paint or plastidip on the side stripes? Any advice for 'fixing' the grey stripe?

I've seen the color match threads, but I like the black on white motif you've got going...

Originally I sprayed them satin black and after a couple years that started peeling. So I have since covered them in plastidip, been over a year since I did that and it's holding up great. I plan to plastidip the wheels as well.

Plastidip is really easy just clean, mask and spray.
