Finaly came thru with some pics, looks good,I think the pink bike should go in your sig line:D Keep the pics coming.

This things shaping up nicely. You're gonna luv this thing.

OK...I noticed you opted for N74L rear shocks. Not sure where you got that idea? :D You also have noticed the flack some disbelievers have thrown at me? I have another update on this and one that should set your mind to ease IN CASE you're doubting the N74L's merits on the 100.

A friend in AZ sold his old FJ40 and built up a 100, like you are doing. On one rough trip out he wiped his front diff (99) so he ARB'd. His truck was done though on a trip together I informed him of the N74L mod (and some others on my 100). He said he'd swap the shocks based on my req.

Well....we wheeled Saturday and Rod had the N74L's on the rear. I asked him if he could tell a difference from before. His answer was something like this:

"Oh hell yes! Now, I can be near sideways and all flexed out and my FOUR wheels are on the ground. I have more traction for certain. It made a BIG difference!"

So....enjoy your truck and the best rear-end solution we have in the US at this time!

Lastly.....to the "still non-believers": MAKE THE CHANGE! QUIT BEING IN DENIAL! There's a reason folks insist on them on their 80-series and it's the same reason we should insist on them on our 100-series.

Thanks for the reassurance, I have no doubt it is the best option for rear suspension on our 100's.

The biggest issue I'm having is with tires...I can't frickin decide. Upgrading to the Slee bumpers and sliders has put me over budget, so I'd like to spend roughly $700 for tires. So far the best deal I have found is 305/70/16 Maxxis bighorns off ebay, 5 shipped to my door for $761.25. Not sure I want to go with 315's at this point, cus I think I would want to regear and I won't have the funds to do that for a while. And, before I do that I need to get a winch....dammit I think I'll just pull the trigger on the Maxxis.

I got the front bumper installed last night, harder than s*** to do by yourself...another two hands would have been choice! I didn't get done till like 12:30a and I'm not happen with the gap between the fender and the bumper, the directions say it should be 15mm but that seems like a lot and looks rather big. I'll post some pics tonight when I get home from work.

Thought: You'll have to live with your tire decision for a LONG LONG time while they wear out. IF....IF you are going to run difficult trails then 315's are a huge plus. If not....the coice is easy. I think you can live without gears for a long time...as I have. What you don't want, is to regret the tire size choice EVERY time you wheel.

Here are some pics of the bumper installed, I didn't get time to wire the lights or install the bumper pads. Also I didn't catch any pics during the install, as my fustration level was 10+ and I probably would have thrown the camera across the garage...

Also here you can see the gap, the instructions call for 15mm and its very close to that...it just looks big to me compared to some of the pics I have seen of other rigs with the same bumper...

Shottz, what tire size/Lift are you running right now?

I thought you were not going to lift this LC,so will the modifications you are making with the suspension as is give you the clearance to put a tire on that Big??, Since I am still learing, several individuals mentioned that BFG was the was to go? how did you choose MAXXIS?

According to your future list, which winch are you planning to get, 8000 or 9500? Your ARB bumper can accept up to 12k but kinda too heavy even with slee T.

Regards,

I really havn't decided yet and I have never owned a winch, but when the time comes I'll hit up the forum for advice..

Never said I wasn't going to lift, I was worried for a minute if it would fit in the garage afterwards....but I don't give a s*** now and it probably won't...

About the tires read the following:

Looks awesome!

Got the rear suspension done last night/this morning finished up at about 2am. Holy s*** those 863's are da bomb....and it still fits in the garage, I'll be it just barely. Without the spare tire mounted I gained almost 3.25" :grinpimp: , I'm hoping once the rear bumper and spare tires are installed it will sag down to 2.75". I'll put up some pics later this evening! BTW, like Bull said...whoever said the rear is easier is full of s***..

Some pics of the lift, once everything else is on I will adjust the front to level it out more.

Rear measurements before lift:
Driver side - 30.25"
Pass side - 30.25"

After lift:
Driver side - 33.375"
Pass side - 33.375"

Again I was measuring from the bottom of the wheel to the fender.
