Hey everyone! Its almost time to make a run to the mountains to grab a Christmas tree.

The past couple of years we have gone up around Jemez the day after Thanksgiving.
Anybody interested in going this year? I don't know the area too well.

Hopefully we get some snow.

I'm interested. I wouldn't get a tree, but I could use a day in the forest.

Heck yeah, I'm in. I don't grab trees but it's fun to get out in the forest, even if there's no snow.

Depending on the weekend, we’ll be interested.

Do we want to meet at Amanda's Store again? 9:00?

We won’t be able to make this weekend. Have fun!

Umm I guess I'm easily baffled today. What day are you guys doing this?

The very first post in the thread says the day after Thanksgiving, so that looks like Friday 11/26. I had to hunt for it myself.

I missed that entirely! Words mean things 🤣

I am in for this ride. Amanda's is the Store in La Cueva, at the turn to Fenton lake. I was just up there getting firewood and the FR's were very dusty, as in London fog !!
Hope for some rain or snow. Nearly had a head on with a truck and we were both going slow and had our headlights on.
Still, nice to be in the mountains. I will be in my truck and bringing my chainsaw to cut some more firewood, and a Christmas tree for anyone who wants one.

Looks like the Jemez is getting some snow and rain showers. Should be nice for a drive on Friday.
