Christmas tree on top of the truck thread

This year's tree! ~9 foot Canaan Fir. Unfortunately no mud on the tires and no saw needed.

We did help out the local Boy Scout Troop and they loved the 60.

What's good, Joe? I can give you a very condensed version of what I've been up to, but what's the fun in that? Let me explain my absence.

After the popularity of my build thread in the 60's section, I became somewhat of a Land Cruiser "influencer" and was asked to appear at all types of events like SEMA, and give a talk at this years Land Cruiser Museum retreat. I ended up talking to Jonathan Ward, who invited me to Los Angeles to be a "content creator" for Icon 4X4 and give him an angle that could appeal to a younger demographic. I declined the incredible offer, citing irreconcilable differences in the direction of his company, most notably the incredulous LS Swap his company is so famous for. I was pretty overwhelmed by the pressure of having to produce so much content on Mud that I had a nervous breakdown, and ended up going to Mexico to "find myself."

When I got to Mexico, I drank some Ayahuasca and had a life altering experience. I realized that life was not all about Overlanding and trying to get that new ARB bumper for my pig, and I ended up giving a seminar to a bunch of Cartel dudes about the durability of the Land Cruisers. I guess there's some sort of shipping embargo on Cruisers in Mexico, so I ended up striking a deal with some of those dudes to find mint LC's and send them south for some serious cash. That is where my current state of affairs are at this time. The incredible part of this whole story is that despite having such a lucrative business, I still don't have enough money to repair my windshield or headliner in my 60.

it was a bit wetter that what I would have liked but despite that an awesome time with some great people.

Once (pretty sad) sledding was had, snowballs were thrown and trees were located it was time to get a fire going and food out.

Didn't get a tree on the roof pic, but had a great time taking the 62 out in the snow for the first time to cut down our tree.

It’s not snowing here yet in Illinois so the wife and I hopped in the 60. Yes these photos were basically staged, but it was good to drive the 60 again. Took it out later and got some Stabil and topped off the tank for storage.

Though I am currently deployed, my ladies held strong in the tradition of cutting down our own tree and hauling it on a cruiser.
