I got both maps at the office in town, that's why I was asking.

The map Chuck posted is the same area as last year. Yes it went down 327. I lost a muffler on that road last year. I'll pay a buck to anyone who returns it to me.

Well, I won't be able to make it on the 4th. I crashed on an ATV the day after Thanksgiving and I have a bruised hip, pulled muscles and a sprained ankle. I tried to get ready to go last night but it's painful just getting into the cruiser.

Sorry to here that, I hope everything is ok and you get better soon. How did the atv turn out? I have had a few spills on them myself, but the first thing I do when I get up is check the machine out. I probably will go out next weekend sometime.

A few pics from today

Pretty quiet day but still fun out there driving around. The last two were from the north end, I don't remember the road numbers.

Hope you're better soon Chuck.:steer:

That one with Luke is the end of 347C at 347. The last one was about the same spot on the way back I think.

Does anyone know if there is anymore snow now than last weekend? Doesn't look like there was much in the pictures.

It was pretty dry last weekend. I have not heard of any new snowfall during the week. Without much snow the people go farther off the main road. There is less chance of people getting stuck. More people seem to lose there cars though.

Best picture of the day

Ok, Luke you need to rename your dog to Yoda!

Maybe Yoda can use the force to keep you from banging into trees!

"Bang into the trees you will not!" That dog doesn"t have much force going on...

Some things the force can't even help...

Sorry I didn't take any pictures Dec 10th or 11th.

I did pull a 2 wheel drive truck up the last switch back on 314 on Saturday. Most people would have been able to drive the truck out so that was not a big deal.

Sunday we had:

Jeff and Karen
Chuck
Dave (Chuck's neighbor)
David H.
Vic
Gary

We split into two groups with Jeff and Karen in their Tacoma and Dave and Chuck in the 60 covering the South end and David H., Vic and Gary covering the North.

Quiet most of the day. Jeff, Karen, Chuck and John (from the FS riding with Chuck) went down 300U and attempted to go up 300V. Jeff was leading the way and slid off the ice in about the same location Luke did the day before. We spread some dirt on the ice because it was so slick you couldn't even stand on it. We then used a snatch block and pulled the Tacoma's back end back onto the trail and backed out.

At the end of the day we had a guy with his small child (~6 years old) and two dogs who lost their truck. It was getting close to dark so I headed up 300 from the sledding hill to just past 323 and started hitting the side roads looking for a black Ford 150. The FS guys found the truck on 928 so I went and picked up the guy with his kid and two dogs. They were North of 324 walking North looking for the truck. I gave them a box of Fig Newtons since they were hungry and drove them back to the truck. He did donate $10 to the club for the ride. I asked him if he had seen a green FJ80 and a red FJ40. He said someone in a green FJ80 had stopped to ask if they were OK and at that time he told them they were fine. He didn't seem to be too worried about being lost and getting dark but I think he was relieved to get a ride back to his truck.

And that's why they say to never feed gremlins after midnight and never get them wet...
