Itll be here TOMORROW!:bounce::bounce2:

Talked with Mark at MT...SOOPER nice guy! Great customer service!

Looking good, I knew you would get it figure it out.

Jack

Thanks Jack....
Its just taking a TON more time that I wanted (of course). Ive totally gotten away from the idea that this thing might run this summer and just resolved to the fact its gonna be a while. Possibly into next year.:meh::crybaby:

That's how it goes though.
Gotta do it right and right NOW as opposed to later when its all back together.

That's the way of projects, twice as long and twice as expensive...

The good news is that you have figured out that your slightly modified Tacoma can handle some moderate wheeling, so you can at least get out and git it dirty. Gotta relieve the stress/project blues once in a while you know.

Roll cage came! (thanks Rusty AGAIN for letting me ship to your place of business!)
Also got MOST of the trans tunnel done!:bounce::bounce2:
When I say done tacked up and in place:D

Pics later!

Yeah man!
You know that drill better than I do for sure. Actually, the cost hasnt been THAT out of control YET!
There is still a LOT of build left to go.
Ive been able to stretch the blotch rig sale cash pretty well, but its getting LOW.

I think you can help all of us Dan, even collectively.:grinpimp:

Chicago-where do things stand in terms of positioning the rear axle? I just picked up (fo'free when a tree fell on my friends Blazer!) an sm465/np205 so I'm thinking of my idle 203 in an 465/203/205 combo. That's starting to get long, but not nearly as long as yours. So if you can make it work, I can too.

Nice build!

Shouldn't you be up at Wentworth Springs right now?
I just looked out the window, it isn't snowing that hard up there tonight.

Dude, you are the poster child for out of control Cruiser mods.

I need a brand new rig. s*** is starting to just fatigue. Maybe one of those new Raptor's. This Vimeo is quite the salesperson in disguise.

Sorry for the hijack Keith :)

Keith, stoked to see you got a MT cage. Take a bunch of pictures of the install so I can see how you do it and learn from you. Thats probably the route I'm going to go as well, just have to save some more $$$ as my budget is been completely demolished!!

Unfortunately, Wentworth is still too deep in the white stuff. I'm really bummed as I so wanted a 60 test run before the main event.

BTW-Since Spresso is following this thread...The blazer was John's! A tree crushed the A pilar and windsheld and he had it hauled off today to the scrapper. I went over on Tuesday and pulled out the 465/205 combo. (The thought transiently crossed my brain to get the axles for you, but they were 10 bolts and so not really an upgrade.) It shifts perfectly and has no leaks. Really a nice unit. Now I just need to figure out a home for it.

 Bronco Canyon?

Perfect! And Andy hasn't seen the art of the ancient ones either! Then we must finish up at the Bucket O'Blood!

Andy,
When I dropped the tub back on the frame, I went all OCD on the sheet metal work. It just wasnt something that I COULD NOT let go till later, so I havent even thought about the SOA/ axle set up yet. That is next on the list once I get the cab set up.
However, I have NO DOUBTS that its going to work. With the ruff stuff kit, and the flipped 60 spring and re positioning of the hangers...right now all I need is an extra 3 in to make an 18 in DS as it sits and Ill be beyond that.
Stay tuned...its coming up rather quickly now that I have the trans hump almost done.

Nick...Ill definitely do that.
Im very stoked about it. After much consideration on the appearance of the cage, extras and steel choice/ quality I felt the MT cage was the best decision for me. Even though I was bitching about having to pay for the extras (over head bars, grab handles etc) it still wasnt THAT bad in cost...660.00 before shipping.
Picked up a "pipe master" for the notching too from Summit.
Just gonna get the trans tunnel finished up then Ill start on the cage.

Yeup!
You are my hero for reckless spending on this passion.:D

BTW espresso...Ill be using those rivnuts soon!
Cant wait to try em out. May have other uses for them too on the rig. Thanks for letting me use that tool.

More of the trans tunnel!
