Thanks for the chat.

Your tcase H/L looks like it's right in line, nice job. Are there any decent hardware stores around you? I have a true value hardware place close by that has one of the best bolt and fastener sections I've ever seen! With more selection you could match the tube/collars to the bolt hole or just double up a piece of that 1/4" on the lever pivot connection and drill the exact hole size you need for that bolt. For me I put fat washers inbetween the levers on the pivot bolt to act as wear points and spacers between the levers. You could also use some hard plastic/nylon washers that would offer less friction if you can find them (didn't think of that until now). Having that tranny hump cut out really makes it easier to set up your linkage and try out different combos. I had to do mine all from underneath.

I heard word of an Ace hardware about somewhere...Not too many of the little stores anymore around here. that is what I need though, a place with a big selection of stuff to choose from instead of going through parts guys all the time.
The trans hump Im planning on making removable.

Ill have to try and find a HW store that has a lot of stuff.

Thanks for the input.

Isnt Mike a great guy? One dude with great critical thinking skills. Glad to call him a friend of mine.

Keep up the good work man...

Yeah man!
He has helped a lot. Itd be cool to meet you cats one day!

dont know what your plan is for the 2wd /4wd shifter but this is the only pic I could find of mine ...its a one off Mustarddog creation that used flat stock to bend around the drive shaft to line up with the mount on the tcase... its even made out of a 1 1/2 in box end wrench body  but any flat stock would do... lookin good keep up the SUPERCLEAN work

Thanks Kingon!
I had visions of finding a tube to sleeve over the 2-4WD mechanism on the 19 spline, but Im not sure that I really like that idea. I had found that a half in nut fits in the slot, and I could sleeve OVER it and then run a bolt through the sleeve into the nut then I could weld a tab for the linkage off the sleeve...Itd work...however, Its a lot more effort than it needs to be it seems, and there are then TWO bolts that will need attention...Others have welded tabs right to the split case mechanism, and I think that will be the easiest and most effective way to accomplish what I need to do, and it WONT go anywhere.

Thanks for the pic and the input!

Nice to have you chime in here!

SOOOOO, some of the Battle Born brothers gave me a couple of places that I MIGHT find a sleeve or tubing, or something to help solve the over sized sleeve issue....

It was a good find! Ace hardware on the OTHER side of town.

I picked up a bronze sleeve, and I reamed out the ID of the tubing to press it in. half in ID...NIIIZE! They had some other very interesting options that I could have gone with, but...this was the best way for me to do what I had to without RE MAKING everything.
Also picked up some nylon washers to run inbetween the shifters.
However, there is still some play with the length of the assembly, so Im gonna build a bracket to support the outer end and make it nice and solid!

Here are some pics.

Thanks for all the help and input on this!

Awe shucks, you guys are too kind.

Once we get Zack's pile finished we'll have to meet on the 'Con.

What the hell happened with the pics? I have to scroll across to see them.

Glad to see you would able to find some bronze and nylon for the shifters.

Seats look much better than your originals.:D

Jack...
I have NO IDEA what happened to the pics!?
I updated firefox, and this is what happened...

Yeah..they are in a bit better shape than the stockers.
I am gonna have to build a bracket off those two holes like we had discussed yesterday.
Part of the wobble was off the spindle just essentially flexing.
Im gonna add another collar/ sleeve BEFORE the very last shifter (2/4wd) to attach a bracket to.

THAT part of it should be relatively easy though...SHOULD!

I think the ginormouse pictures Kling-on posted re-sized the column width.

If you are looking for "Gibblets" like the brass sleeve, linkage pieces , etc. Spend some time in the "Backroom/outside" of Twin City Surplus. You will be amazed the stuff you can find in the coffee can stacked in the cuby holes.

The problem with TC is it is completely random. Sometimes I go over there at lunch to kill time and poke around, that probably speaks volumes about me.

BTW Dan, be sure to check out the lot across the street if you haven't already, there is a s*** ton of cool stuff over there.

ok sorry fixed it and made em links I wanted to big pics to see the shifter

Think I got the OUTER bracket figured out.
Its not IDEAL as far as ease of removal of the shifters, but I really DONT plan (once they're set up) to have to take them on and off a lot.
Works pretty good honestly, and I figure that if Im in a pinch and its not opportune, I can remove the WHOLE assembly as one piece.

1/2 in bar, and gusset under neath for vertical movement and a 1/2 in ID shaft bearing (?)

Gonna clean all the loose ends up (squared corners and such) this weekend, and build the 3rd shifter for the 4wd engagement, then MOVE ON!

Im tired of this crap!
