I need a new one for my restoration, SOR wants $$$$$$$$, would I do better with a dealer like CDAN?

The only place to get OEM sheetmetal is from an authorized Toyota Parts dealer. That would be SOR or MAF or a Toyota dealer.

Yes, Cdan will always have better prices than SOR for OEM parts.

Doh, guess I overlooked the OEM in the title.

Thats the number i supplied Toyota in which they said no longer avail? Cruiserparts had one about 2 months ago for around $425 but no longer have and now SOR is the only for around $600? I would pay the $450

Look up a late model '83 and a '79. different part numbers, same part other than one small bracket.

I will call them again, I told them late model 1983 40 series land cruiser? I will give them these numbers. Its just at $50 per hour to replace the rotted out portion and prep to paint will end up costing about the same

Thanks
R
