Bought remanned calipers from the local Toyota dealership.

I was shocked at the price. $29 a side
Ordered them Wednesday at lunch, they were in Thursday morning.

Mind blown.

Shhhhhhh.

;)

What dealership did you use?

When I entered those part numbers at my dealer it shows the part as discontinued?

Then went to another random dealer and they show availability?

That’s weird. Supposedly been discontinued. I’m a run them at work Monday.
That be way faster then rebuilding as planned.

They were reman and not new. They didn't not come with pins, the spring that retains the pins, crush washers, or the anti rattle spring.

Funny thing is, I had a Napa set of pads, rotors, and calipers on the shelf already. 🤣

This has been discussed multiple times. Nothing new here.
Reman front calipers for FZJ-80s:
47730-60060-84
47750-60060-84
About $26 from most online Toyota dealers.

Even new OEM calipers have come way down in price.
47730-60061
47750-60061
About $150.

Front rotors:
43512-60090
$70

Do you have #’s for the rear (reman) calipers? I’d like to check on those from my dealer.

Thanks

I think the availability is the surprise. Since. They long have been listed as discontinued.

What are you seeing as discontinued?
I see the remans in stock at multiple dealers as well as the new calipers.
I shall consult with the all knowing @OGBeno on this matter.

My apologies. I was a number off. “Fj80” ones are discontinued.
Now definitely checking tomorrow lol.

Just ordered a pair at work. Yup dirt cheap.

Any reason why a dealer would e-mail me saying these PNs do not fit my 1996? I asked them to verify what the PNs do fit and got no answer. Still told them to continue the order.

@Batameez : What model year 80 Series and what position (front/rear) calipers are you looking for?

IIRC there used to be different part numbers between 93-94 and 95-97 FZJ80 models (but the calipers were the same). There also may have been some part number changes/supercessions over the years. You could ask your local parts counter guy to check his system for the correct part numbers, get those numbers and come back to the forum so someone can double check for you.

Or, go to Partsouq dot com, type in your VIN, Search for brakes or calipers, get the part numbers (they may only have new parts, not rebuilds)
Or, check Toyotapartsdeal for part numbers, they seem to be fairly accurate
HTHs

One example:

Normal price is about $125/each, been awhile but I think that is without cores.

Hit and miss on if you get crusty rebuilt east coast calipers or nice California ones.

Cheers

1996. They got back to me and said the PN is for a different production date and they are following the factory catalog which has numbers that do not supersede.

Those were for my 95. June build if I remember correctly

I think the part numbers are totally fine. I trust the forum more than the average parts counter guy. My question was more so about why the part number seemed foreign to them and could only verify the new PN as the correct part.
