What dealership did you use?
That’s weird. Supposedly been discontinued. I’m a run them at work Monday.
That be way faster then rebuilding as planned.
I think the availability is the surprise. Since. They long have been listed as discontinued. This has been discussed multiple times. Nothing new here.
Reman front calipers for FZJ-80s:
47730-60060-84
47750-60060-84
About $26 from most online Toyota dealers.
Even new OEM calipers have come way down in price.
47730-60061
47750-60061
About $150.
Front rotors:
43512-60090
$70
I was shocked how cheap they were.I think the availability is the surprise. Since. They long have been listed as discontinued.
What are you seeing as discontinued?I think the availability is the surprise. Since. They long have been listed as discontinued
47730-60070-84Do you have #’s for the rear (reman) calipers? I’d like to check on those from my dealer.
Thanks
My apologies. I was a number off. “Fj80” ones are discontinued. What are you seeing as discontinued?
I see the remans in stock at multiple dealers as well as the new calipers.
I shall consult with the all knowing @OGBeno on this matter.
1996. They got back to me and said the PN is for a different production date and they are following the factory catalog which has numbers that do not supersede.@Batameez : What model year 80 Series and what position (front/rear) calipers are you looking for?
IIRC there used to be different part numbers between 93-94 and 95-97 FZJ80 models (but the calipers were the same). There also may have been some part number changes/supercessions over the years. You could ask your local parts counter guy to check his system for the correct part numbers, get those numbers and come back to the forum so someone can double check for you.
Or, go to Partsouq dot com, type in your VIN, Search for brakes or calipers, get the part numbers (they may only have new parts, not rebuilds)
Or, check Toyotapartsdeal for part numbers, they seem to be fairly accurate

I think the part numbers are totally fine. I trust the forum more than the average parts counter guy. My question was more so about why the part number seemed foreign to them and could only verify the new PN as the correct part. Those were for my 95. June build if I remember correctly
