Is there a data plate on the engine bay PS fender? That engine bay being brown like that makes me think it be was Olive to begin it's life. All the emissions gear is there. A lot of good there for sure. If it runs I'd say a 8-10k 40, if not 5-8k. Good luck Greg.

Even though Greg said it runs only while pouring gas into the carb I believe this thing is gonna bring at least $15K. Finding a survivor these days is difficult. The potential value of a truck like this restored is way up there. Personally I think it'd be a gas to just get it running properly and drive as is. Under the hood looks like it was sprayed with a rust preventative, I see some mustard showing through on the firewall bracing rib on the passenger side. A relative of the former owner told Greg it was originally mustard. Ain't as nice as Patrick's 40 but it's pretty much unmolested.

Well that was exciting!

After about 12K it was pretty much just myself and two others. After 15K it was just one dude and me.

It sold for $16,750.

I stopped at $16,500, which was already more than I wanted to pay.

With ten percent premium, final hammer price was $18,425!

I would have loved to go home with it, but I’m not too bummed that I’m not.

Now a five plus hour drive home with an empty trailer! :steer:

Wow! I'm way off the market for these things. Sorry it didn't work out.

Wait...I'm confused. Did the buyer put it right back up on another auction site with a 15% fee?

No, that’s just a screenshot to show Pacer the llocation.
Online bidding was available, but it sold to a live bidder.
10 percent premium in person, 15 online, PLUS 3 percent if using a credit card!

I’m fine with being outbid, if I did outbid the other guy (and win). My high bid would have been 17K. Add 10 percent premium and it becomes 18,700. Then the tax to register it in PA would have made my buy in price, for a non drivable truck, $19,720.

That’s a lot of moolah!
