Who: Cruiser addicts in the greater-Charlotte area
What: Meeting to drink beer and share knowledge
When: Sunday, December 23rd, 3pm - until
Where: JohnVee's house - PM him for the address.
Why: Does it really matter when there is good food and beer involved?

Last month was a lot of fun and I'm hopeful we'll have a good turnout again. Make plans now so you don't have to run to the mall that day for last-minute gifts.

Should be able to stop by

Unfortunately I will not be able to make it. Super unfortunately it's because I will be getting married that week. Not so unfortunately I will be in the Bahamas...all of this assuming the Mayans got it wrong...but I will make one of these trips eventually.

My end-of-year-ravaged mind missed the fact that I'm dog sitting for a MUD member from VA at my house while he's at the Panthers game on the 23rd. I've got to run it by Sarah, but perhaps a change of venue to my place??? I've got a buddy from FLA who'll be here in his FJC, too. I'll post up ASAP on our availability and let the ONSC powers that be decide if that should be an option.

Doesn't really matter to me, what part of Charlotte is your house in again???

Only real question is can you cook :D

I will be there with Ava.

I am game for having at Vees abode..

I will be in the providence area on sat at my cousin's house. I am good either way. Let me know what I need to bring if it is at vees' home

Looks like I might not be able to attend on Sunday and I won't know for sure until closer to time.

Therefore, I'm going to defer to my predecessor, Al, for a final decision (Your welcome Al!). It seems most everyone that posted up that they were coming is willing to change the venue.

John, not sure how you will give directions or if you'll be comfortable posting your address on the board.

Just look for Cruisers in front of a house. Hint...It's a brick house.

Same time OK for everybody - 3:00pm-ish? I'm open to suggestions if that matters. I'll hit the beer and soda store for some goodies. Maybe grill up some wings and have some kind of dip/chili/whatever. Bring anything you feel compelled to except for live animals. I'll have LILRDWGN's dog during the day and I'm not sure how that will go down with other dogs.

I'll PM everybody on the thread so far. Let me know if you don't get the address or if you've not posted yet and will need it. Call if that's easier, and please leave a message if I don't answer.

Meeting has been changed

does said brick house have doors and windows??? I think i've seen that house before

Wow, what a great group. I'm the one that put the kink in the meeting plans by looking for a dog sitter. Thanks JohnVee.

Since I'm going to be down that way for a short bit I was wondering if anyone was interested in a radiator and water pump w/ oil cooler outlet from a 79 FJ40. Briefly had it installed on my 40 and they were supposed to go back to the previous owner but after all was said and done he decided he didn't want them anymore. If anyone is interested them I will gladly donate them since everyone has been so accommodating.

Just let me know so I can make room for it. Maybe I might even get to see a few cruisers before we have to head on our way.

Thanks,

^^ NOOOOO I wanted them parts for my future 40! J/K

Very nice of you to donate the parts but that is what I would expect from a fellow Virginian. ;)
I lived in Moneto on Smith Mountain Lake after college, back in the early 80's. Grew up in Roanoke. Never made it to the Bedford Christmas lights, but always wanted to.

And you are right, this is a great group to be associated with. They will bend over backwards to help a fellow cruiser, or any person for that matter.
Proud to be a member of ONSC!

Enjoy the game!

Oh well, got to be a little quicker next time ;)

Love the area up here. Not originally from here but my wife is. We actually are in Body Camp next to Moneta, still pretty and rural.

Don't see a 40 in your sig line, do you have your future one picked out yet. Been strongly considering selling my 40, not using it much (my knee is part of the problem and just plain too busy most of the time). If there is interest it might push me over the fence in deciding.

Looking forward to meeting some cruiser folk on my way through.
