That’s a good point, because since this current little war has been going on, I’ve never seen a HMMWV with CTIS. Don’t know why we would need it anyway, up armoreds run at 20 psi all the time.Humvees have CTIS....always had issues with it. may have been the desert sand in Yuma, or the gov't contractor mechanics, but they all seemed to leak or had been scrapped all together.
Some of the bigger vehicles (MRAP / Striker ) seemed to have better results. Can't imagine what that system would cost in the civilian world.
Hey. I have seen it on a land cruiser and i have some detailsIs there a way to add this to a 200?
Will it be too cost prohibitive? I see some companies offering it for use in any vehicle. I would like to digitally controlled via app.
PSI is relatively unimportant to me, I'm looking for CFM and duty cycle. Just my $.02.I ended up buying a lithium battery air compressor and use that now when I need to air back up. Its a slight pain in the cold/snow but much cheaper option. Also, much easier than plugging the 12V charger in cigarette lighter.
Something like this:
CYCPLUS 150 PSI Tire Pump Electric Compressor Air Pump with Rechargeable Li-ion Battery Portable Air Compressor for Cars
I have this one too.I was excited for the tech discussion in this thread. Am I the only one that found it a bit amusing that we went from hardcore to softcore?
@Reckless Not sure if you got that compressor yet and what size tires you have, but even for stock tires, I think that lithium pump is going to be challenged to do anything but seasonal top-offs. Not sure it's going to have the chops/fill rate to handle airing up after an off-road jaunt?
Here's a common portable one many use. They're bigger than pictures lead on and may be a pain to store, but that's the size compressor necessary to fill tires in a reasonable time.

Why stop there. If you’re going to carry a bag, carry a big bag.
