That brings up the TPMS warning from the spare that some chose to ignore as the installed wheels look good. It might actually be more than low pressure but a slow leak caused by an embedded nail, basically the spare had a flat when tires were rotated.

People ignoring TPMS warnings is another issue altogether.

Forgot to list that part of the procedure.

If you reset your TPMS warnings at the road pressure, then inflate the spare above that, the spare warning pressure won’t be higher than necessary.
