Hi Everyone,

Im trying to get a used compressor for my home just for working on my cars or if I ever do my fence.

Here are my choices

Central Pneumatic Upright Mdel 47065 3 HP 21 GL $125 comes with reel hose. Low Hours used

Husky Upright 1.5 HP 21 GL 150 PSI New $125 - oil free

Devillbiss Proo 4000 5 HP 20 GL $125 low hours Comes with hose, ratchet and impact wrench oil free

Thanks in advance

Definitely the 5hp. But, if a true rating it will be 208-240v and maybe 3-phase. Any 120v compressor is limited to about 2hp.

devilbliss all the way. I have a Qunicy from the 60's thats still chugging away and quiet enough to talk on the cell phone while its running. The old iron beasts are completely rebuildable with parts still available. Just change the oil once in a while, drain the water from the tanks daily, and they'll last forever. Talk to your local air compressor dealers, they always get this stuff on trade and sell it for reasonable prices, sometimes with a little warranty. That's how I got mine- and they delivered it!

I had the Husky and I hated it. Wouldn't keep up with one impact or air grinder, was constantly waiting for it to catch up. I would go with the Devilbiss.
