CEL code 14, 94 LC

Rig just died while running/driving. CEL light not on, but pulled code 14. "No signal to ECM." Cranks greats, no fire. With a message board search looks like I need to start looking for a bad wire or sensor. Don't tell me it's the ECM, I'm not listening, la la la la la. I have three days to gather info before I'm back home in three day and then will dive into an electrical nightmare. I've read some great investigative stories here. Wish I had more time to read them all. Thanks for any help. Don
 
I'm hoping someone has had a Code 14 or has a good starting place.
 
Bump for you. Checking sensors and connections is pretty much the best way to start...
 
Possibly the wiring harness that goes into the firewall. Know to get brittle. Search around here, there is a couple good threads on it.
 
that same thing happened to me 3 weeks ago driving along and it shut off
the MAF had a short in it shuts down the fuel to the fuel rail i would check it out
make sure the contacts are clean and not loose.
 
Thanks all. The bit of searching I've done states, play with the wires.
 
An update. Problem still there. I've been checking every wire, connection, sensor I can get my hands on. I have been told that code 14 is more specific to the distributor. It shows that the integrated circuits in the dizzy malfunctioned. I've tested the Ohm's and it checks good. Have not been able to check after it has shut down.

Does this theory sound correct? If so I'll go for a Dizzy change.
 
Was the EFI fuse blown? Mine has inconveniently done this before. The O2 sensor wire that runs near the axle had a raw spot in it and was shorting out, thus blowing the EFI fuse.
 
No fuses blown. Just a very hot EFI main relay.

Does anyone know if there is a specific item Code 14 is for. Or is it a general, good luck code.
 
Did you ever figure out what caused the 14 code? I'm in the same predicament. Driving along when the motor cut out. Cranks strong but doesn't start. Checked codes and came back with 14
