Good morning everyone
I have a dilemma that I need your help. Since 6 months I been rebuilding my FJ40 here in Ecuador.
Parts here are hard to find and my cousin has been sending parts from USA. I now need a carburetor because the carburetor that is on the FJ40 does not run smooth and it uses lots of gas. A 30 mile trip cost me $20

From the research that I have done this carburetor is a newer model and it looks like is for a 2F engine. I was thinking of replacing with a WEBER but from the reviews that I have read it tells me to stay away and stay with the same carburetor.

I have tried to contact Marshal but it looks like he is no longer in business so my other option other than buying a Chinese version from ebay is to buy a carburetor kit.

the carburetor has a metal tag with H3662 and after talking to Specter Off-Road, Inc. they told me to go to their carburetor identifier web page Page 042 Land Cruiser Carburetor Identifier however it seems that non of the picture matches my carburetor

Please understand that being in Ecuador is a hassle. between sending parts and customs it takes for ever to get parts. I just want to get the right part

Thank every one

If you google 'aisan h3662', you'll see a link for alibaba... In that link, you'll see part# 21100-61012.

If you google 'Toyota 21100-61012', you'll see links for that part... Beware of cruiserparts.net, until you read the bad sellers thread in classifieds.

The next link is eBay... For this Chinese made knockoff. NEW CARBURETOR for TOYOTA 2F 21100-61012 | eBay

I have no idea what kit to recommend... Maybe Mark (@65swb45), Jim (@FJ40Jim) or @Pin_Head can help...

Marshall is still in business at Trollhole... I've never dealt with him, but he has this thread New F & 2F carbs

Thanks both

I sent an e mail to trollhole with a few ueations but it rejected, so assume that he was no longer in business

how can i get in touch with Marshall. My cousin is coming down next Monday and I would like to order one for next day delivery

Again, I've never dealt with him... I have no idea how responsive he is... You could PM him, from mud, by clicking on his username (TrollHole), in the thread I linked, then 'start conversation'.

Or, you could try the ohone number on his Facebook page, Trollhole's | Facebook

Good luck!!

Marshall is still in business. He might be busier than ever but he is still around. Try a PM here on Mud. I will tag him in this post to get his attention for you. Good luck.

@Trollhole See above......

Check my store for this carb. Take your pick between OEM or Japanese aftermarket. You WILL get the right part in either case.

So after two emails>PM & Facebook Mr. Marshal never made any effort to contact me.

So racer65 my cousin is going back to the USA in two weeks and he is going to call you and order . but I do have few more questions

1) is your carburetor is made to run on high altitude?
2) Does your carb comes with gaskets?

You'd need to change the jet in order to run on high altitude. Not sure what gasket you are referring to. The carb does not come with additional gaskets.
