In the process of desmog and rebuilding the manifold and gaskets. Figured I'd post some picture of my carb was rebuilt by @OTRAMM 2 years ago. Would like to know if anyone sees something out of the ordinary or needs adjustment or replaced while I'm putting it all back together. Any help is appreciated. @FJ40Jim @orangefj45 @gregnash

Looks pretty good to me... but definitely no where near and expert on this or anything cruiser related... However I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. :p
@Output Shaft @Trollhole @CaptClose

OH and the gasket on the carb hat... that goes on the air cleaner not the carb. It has a little lip that pops over and mounts it to the air cleaner.

While you're waiting for the experts to chime in, take a look at this link:

Some good images of various 2F carbs here, including what I assume to be yours ('80-'87 USA FJ60). There may be some differences due to your desmog, but it will still be helpful to compare. Last time I was troubleshooting my carb, I took detailed pics of it and compared them to the images on SOR's site.

Same here when I did my rebuild. I had my orig carb next to the rebuilt and took pixs of a certain area of linkage and compared them to SOR's website then emailed them to Jim and he verified placement very quickly.

^^^ Fixed it ^^^

But thanks for the vote of confidence

While it's on the bench, might as well check the diaphragms with a mighty vac and make sure they hold vacuum/move properly. I would check that green VTV as well. Should flow freely one way and have reduced airflow the other way. Seems like 2 out of every 3 I check is completely blocked through the restricted side.
