Hello! Thanks for a really great forum--I could read the posts and Newbie links for days.
My 1990 Range Rover Classic recently blew up (actually, it just started on fire, but "blew up" sounds more interesting) and I need a new toy. The RRC was lifted and rigged for rock crawling, and it was great fun for that. Unfortunately, I have to drive long distances to do any rock crawling, and the RRC had some kind of major malfunction on every road trip.
So, here I am thinking about switching to a more reliable FZJ. I'm worried about the wheelbase--112.2 inches comapared to 100 for the RRC. What difference can I expect as a result of the extra 12 inches? Be nice, please.
Does anybody out there rock crawl with both a swb and lwb vehicle?
Thanks for what I'm sure will be interesting reading.
Heather
