Any reason not to use the steering damper from the donor? I was removing it to steal the frame mount and was greeted with rubber boots still full of grease. Curious, I cleaned it off and cycled it - it seems to work as well as my fairly fresh OME unit. Do they ever wear out? It has a million miles, but seems to work just fine.

I like it because it has rod ends instead of bushings, it has a lower profile, says TOYOTA on it, and of course, because it is black.

I priced new ones and they are $200-ish... ouch! And I just missed a NIB unit for $30 on eBay. It sat for months until the day before I decide to look for one. Anybody come across an aftermarket that has ball joint style ends?

you making a Piano? c'mon..

On a side note, i have seen an 80 stuck in snow and that 9.5 would not pull him out even when double hauled. Just saying. I'm all about 12,000 lbs........ it will certainly get a stuck subaru out of the mud.

As long as YOU have the 12K winch, I'm good ;)

Cameron: I'll be coming through MEM at the end of the month on my way to Steamboat: Do you want me to bring the M8k? It will come with controller and 100' of wire and fair lead.

I have a brande new control box from Warn that I can throw into the deal if you want or you can provide your own.

Let me know. I'll be coming through your area on 2/26 on my way to TUL.

After a fuel line relocation surgery that lasted well into the night (well into), the patient is again showing signs of life. She will require further physical therapy before she can can run free again, but she is off of life support and breathing on her own.

(btw, is was 29 degrees and it fired instantly and quickly settled into an idle. HUGE difference from the carb.)

Yeah bro!!

To do list:

- Bleed brakes (got started last night, but can tell it will be a pain)
- Weld steering damper mount on frame
- Extend rear swaybar links (didn't account for contact with the shocks when I put them in)
- Change bum spindle
- Take off sweet jump

Tryin' on some 35's...

These are perfect. I'd just need to lower the front bumpstops or trim the fender.

Yeah, that's the difference of the 60 & no fender flares vs. 80 with flares. I like it.

These are 315's.

I like these 40th wheels with the painted openings. I kinda want to find some now.
