I want to fly down washboard roads and not spill my cappuccino :grinpimp:

Nolen said these are the ones for that application.

Most likely not tonight, but soon. The list is getting shorter. (I think I said this a few weeks ago:D)

I realize the extra beef is due to using "foam" vs. whatever, but jeez these things are beefy.

The OME from my 60 is similar in heft to the blue 80 shock. The IMP has about twice the girth (that's what she said), and weighs about 4 times as much. The mounting pins/rods are a much larger diameter too.

Nice stuff.

I'm peeling off the stickers, though, so I can roll incognito.

Extended length vs. stock/sub-4" lift shocks. Check out the difference in pin diameters too...

Thanks! It's taken me an hour to install one shock!

More espressos do speed things up tho!

no stickers? makes them look like some John Holmes Gabriel shocks...

Beefy piston shaft...

It comes with the hard plastic shell and the rubber accordion. There's a spare washer for the accordion. Keeping with the recycled theme, I went with the plastic.

One look and you'll know these are authentic Mandingos. Besides, I need the stickers so I can make my money back on eBay:grinpimp:

For the record, in my thread in the 100 section on the Pro's, I weighed them and they are 11 pounds and the OME Sports were 5 pounds.

The non-PRO Iron Man are not any bigger than the OME and maybe only a pound heavier so its not really the foam, its the massive design of the shock.

I can tell you this.....some dude told some engineer to make it absolutely as big as would fit because it is so close in a couple spots on the 100.

Anyone that tells you that these shocks are not awesome have not put them through what I have put mine through.

I can tell just from bouncing the front that I'm in for a nice upgrade. FWIW, a set of extended length 80 shocks ships at 60lbs, and there's not more than a couple of lbs of packaging.

These are different from the nitrogen charged in that they don't try to extend on their own. They just resist moving. The rears more so than the fronts.

Hard to get a pic, but they look good in there…

Nice dude. I think I need to give @wct49 a call. I'm in need of something "bigger".

:)

Dr. Chris can hook you up with that enlargement procedure!

So, when we gonna get to see "T-Pain" all sprung out and rollin...

Realistically, it could happen Weds night soon. I'm waiting on a few fuel line fittings (to improve the fuel pump & filter install from the swap to make future pump/filter swaps less painful), and those should be here then.

The rest I hope to do tonight soon.
