Gday. Still Cruisin! First night out with my newly built trailer. I was so busy finishing up and wiring the thing that we hit the road late for our hols but luckily found a beaut spot as the sun was sinking. On the German border, looking across the Rhine into France. Wife was bloody surprised when I flicked the switches and it all worked and the tent lifted 70cm into the air. I had two Hi-Lifts on the roof as back up but no idea how that would have worked!

The kids sleep upstairs in the tent and the wife and I on a nice slide out double bed on top of the trailer. Slide out kitchen underneath. It's a DIY version of Aussie Luke's off-road Drifta trailers but based on a used trailer that blokes here take their rubbish to the tip with. A few days of outback corrugations and bush bashing would probably rattle it apart! Got to refine it but dragged it 2500kms over two enjoyable weeks of camping.
