Headed to Jarbidge for a night of camping. Sorry, no pictures. Met a guy along the way with a nice blue 60 with an Isuzu conversion, RTT, awning, on-board air, the works. Said he was heading to Oregon to watch an eclipse or something.
I've lived in southern Nevada three times and always wanted to visit the Jarbidge Wilderness, but never made it that far north. Photos would be much appreciated!

How 'bout a 30 minute video? :grinpimp:

We made the trek to Jarbidge from Reno, all off-pavement, a few years ago. Phenomenal experience and adventure. The variation in terrain is unbelievable.

Here's the trip report if you have a day to kill...

Jarbidge or Bust - "Overlanding" Nevada 2015

Landrovers are cool to! At least I think so.
TBH I like any truck that the owner has taken care of and thought about the set up of. I've owned many landrovers before moving to Toyota. The yellow series 2 is especially interesting, an ex military soft top, converted to a dormobile, interior owner fitted and a disco 200tdi engine

Is that a horse under your awning??

Sent you a PM to ask where you bought your teepee tent

err, yes it is!! He came to visit, along with his friends the flies while we were making dinner!! Tried to eat the cool box then had a good rub against the tent. Later the evening he took himself off up the mountain to bed, came back down again about 0500 and had another good scratch on the tent!!

I'm in the UK, the tent was from a UK supplier so not sure it would be of help to you. It's a great tent though, about 15 mins to put up or take down and loads of room for the familly

Eclipse hunting in Spring City, TN. Tip - don't set up on an underground yellow jacket nest. Apparently they don't like humans walking around on their house. Despite the 95 deg heat and stingy things - that full eclipse was the coolest thing I've ever seen.
