Events/Trails Camping/concert trip to Taos: Rober Plant Allison Krause June 16-18

We got tickets to go see this concert in Taos. As of now, the plan is to depart Abq on the morning of June 16, Friday and heading up to somewhere in Carson national forest. The concert is on June 17th at the Kit Carson park. We'll be towing the camper up there and grabbing our MTBs. We may have to do a scouting trip to see where is the best place to setup the campers in advance.

Seems like a good opportunity to explore up there and do some of the Taos cluster alpine lakes. I'm up for it and some scouting.

Dang. I'm going to know a bunch of people there. My plan is to camp up near Eagle Nest Lake at the Cimarron State Park for a week starting June 16. I just reserved my site at the Tolby Campground for June 16 - June 24.

Who's camping on this trip? Any recommendations where to set up, hopefully not in a developed campground with neighbors and fees? My preference is "dispersed" camping off a Forest Service road somewhere, but I have no idea where that is if we try to camp together. We need a place accessible to Larry's turdbox, Ali/Johanna's Casita, a 4wd Sprinter, a Porsche Macan towing a teardrop, and a Subaru Crosstrek.
