Looking for input from anyone who has exiled their torsion bars on their 100. I'm considering the conversion for ride quality and adjustability purposes only, so naturally I am interested in people's feedback on the subject.

The car is used as more of a tourer or "Overlander" than a rock crawler (let's be honest even triple locked these things are not rock crawlers)
Curious if anyone has tried different shock or spring combos especially interested in custom valved and sprung setups.

Any input is much appreciated.

And because threads are useless without pictures...

A quick search would show the thread on the second page where a guy built his own . There are no commercially available kits

There is a lot available I've seen that thread thanks.

Still available

200? :ninja:

If cruisers keep going on bat like they've been that's very possible. 😁

But currently out of the budget
I hear yah. There not as you there as they used to be though. Being that you can find decent to nice early 200s for 20k-25k gotta be careful dumping a lot into a 100.

Not completely accurate... Our own Jason (@TRAIL TAILOR ) has a 100 series conversion kit in the works. Currently putting it on his own Ele Ele build if I remember correctly to make sure that everything lines up properly before final offering.

Not the direction I'd go for what you want... unless you really want to tinker and tune yourself for the joy of it I'd run the other way. If you want a reliable overlanding 100 the T-bars are the way to stay. Just my 2c of course.

Which direction would you go? If I wanted reliability I'd buy a Corolla.. but we're enthusiasts here and there is no reason to leave will enough alone.

Calling all coil converted is going to net you like 6 trucks, 3 of them SAS and the others one-offs with fully custom brackets made. For "overlanding", keep the IFS and AHC.
Ahc is long gone, though I miss it im not going back. so far I think I've landed one sas swapped member who's input has been invaluable. Thinking of a night vision conversion now instead

I didn't think you were meaning solid axle swap versions. That will open up the options for comparisons A LOT. Completely different from what I was thinking you meant originally.

Anyway, I like my front-coil converted 100. :)
