Which direction would you go? If I wanted reliability I'd buy a Corolla.. but we're enthusiasts here and there is no reason to leave will enough alone.

I'd run upgraded T-bars if there is extra weight to carry, decent shocks according to your $$/performance preferences, upper control arms if needed due to wear or alignment issues.
Then no matter where you are you can always swap in any old 100-series upper control arm, shock, t-bar and drive on... coil converted truck not so much. Coil conversion is cool, just not sure it's worth it for most with the dual uniball custom arms, etc. Most Land Cruiser owners are into reliability and the further you get from Toyota the harder it can be to maintain.

If you want to go full SAS, I'd go 3 link and coil overs for sure

Not completely accurate... Our own Jason TRAIL TAILOR has a 100 series conversion kit in the works. Currently putting it on his own Ele Ele build if I remember correctly to make sure that everything lines up properly before final offering.
"in the works" /= commercially available kits

Sas would be the ultimate.. though I'd consider importing a 105 in a couple years to get a diesel too.

By coil conversion I meant coilover IFS I don't think I could accomplish a Sas for the money that the coilover kit from kor cost, not to mention I want to maintain some on road performance.
