FWIW, I’ve used these folks to rebuild my smog pump and will do so again for my a/c compressor and starter

Sell the smog delete pulley after you put the new pump in, to recoup some of your cost

Good morning. I wanted to report back that I finally passed smog! One of the members here recommended I go see Luke at Auto Precision in Vista. Luke is master magician! My carburetor was completely shot and needed a complete rebuild. Along with that, new air pump, tweaking the EGR system and brand new catalytic converter, it passed with flying colors. The smog shop was actually impressed how clean it was. I can't recommend Luke and his team enough. Thanks for everyone one's help!
