11/78 is technically still a 78 model. Wouldn't make a difference on a this part but 1/79 which is the start of the 79 model the tub has major changes on how it was made. The fuel tank moved to underneath the cab not in it. When sold new the owners manual would have shown 1978. The state it was first registered in called it a 79 not Toyota. Bib & bezel, front seats & center console and ambulance doors all had changes. Since today your probably buying used or reproduction parts want to be sure they work for your 11/78.
