C1268 transfer L4 position switch circuit (4 Viewers)

I am getting this fault code, and I am searching for the correct switch sensor to replace on the transfer case? Any direct knowledge on this error code? Also, getting PRNDL switch fault as well, but I think that’s tied into the A/TP warning light I’m getting.

Download the manual from the resources section of ih8mud and look at the transfer case section to see the location. Usually the switch contacts are just dirty because a) they don’t get activated very often and b) they don’t have enough current running through them. You can clean them by hooking them up to a 12v source with some kind of current limit (a brake light bulb in series works well) and then actuating them a dozen or so times. I went ahead and did this to all 3 switches when I had one stop working
