Great find enjoy I think you found a semi unicorn. you definitely didn't overpayGreat forum, this is my first post. I've been stalking 100's for a few months and finally found a 2005 with only 57k miles. It's in near-perfect shape, the only downside is nav. Held it at the CarMax in Reno as soon as it popped up and had it shipped to my local store. Price is a little high for a 2005 at $27k, but I haven't seen anything out there with mileage that low. Did I find a unicorn, or am I over-paying? Either way, I'm probably going to buy it. Just curious if my conclusion that this is a rarity matches everyone's combined search/purchase experiences. Thanks!
Yep but you end up learning so much more about your vehicle (if you like turning a wrench) and end up bonding with it.I have been shopping for the last few weeks and prices are all over the place. Did not think it would be this difficult. It seems that everything in good to great condition for the years through 2003/2009 are in the $19k-25k range. Everything below $16k needs work. The problem is you save 4 to 9 thousand dollars and end up putting most of that back your vehicle plus labor.
@hmf
BUT Great Find! I believe 05 is the sweet spot VVTI but no AHC

You made the right decision!!Thanks for your replies, I'm reassured on my decision to buy. I did hold it at midnight when it popped up, sight unseen with no pictures. I found that these don't last long, even at CarMax prices. I suppose the ability to do that was worth paying a premium, in this case.
FJC, you're right - it's not a VVTI, which started in '06. Does have all service records at proper intervals from dealerships and 4 brand-new Yokohama Geolandar ATS tires. I'm picking her up tonight, pretty excited to join your ownership ranks! I need to find some tapes for my new cassette player...
You just miss out on the 5-speed, if that's important to you, also lots of other things refreshed/updated in '03 per that Slee newbie buyers guide. There is a 2000 in San Jose (I see you are from Lincoln) that sounds really similar with 225k listed at $7k. 2000/2002 pretty much the same, again, according to that Slee guide.Would love an opinion on something I'm looking at. 2002 LC, 212K miles. TB and WP done in last 10K miles. Minor door ding, some ...... What would a fair price be? Appreciate any advice.
Based on my last three months of shopping from CA I'd say it's a bit overpriced IMHO. 2000+ is ATRAC and VSC which a lot of people seem to value here stateside. I would include some interior pics to sweeten it depending on how nice it is inside. In CA at 9-10k it would probably go quickly. Of course I don't know the market in Hawaii and I'm biased because I'm a buyer not a seller!!Wanted to get the opinion on selling my 99..... Am I asking too much? Thanks for your input!
