Good point. Another thing to think about (imho) is what is drawing you to this “hobby” if that is the right way to describe it. For me, I like the journey... finding what I want, fixing it, finding the needed parts to restore, puttering with it a night after work, etc. Once it’s all put together I start to lose interest. For others it is very different. They want something already put together they can drive on weekends and don’t want to be bothered with fixing anything or running down hard to find parts to make repairs.How long have you been looking for a FJ40 ? My best suggestion is to slow your search down and do a bunch of reading within this site. Good vehicles show up with enough frequency that you shouldn't think this is the one, the only one out there.
