Simply awesome build! I had been wanting to do the full bull bar on my LX570 and so far had only seen photos of people using the hoop-less Sahara bars. Really looks fantastic on the LX! I am very curious to hear your results with the LC springs and how it all behaves with the AHC system. My excitement is far from contained

It’s mostly done. I did a lot of work on our Airstream over the holidays and haven’t done much else. I still need to order the smoked tail lights and get some led floods to fill the holes for the reflectors in the rear plastic bumper.
Dialing in the AHS to work with LC springs was a MFr. AHS needs some pressure to provide damping ability.
Once the springs settle in I’ll need to readjust pressures, but it’s pretty good for now. Rides much stiffer than factory, it’s not harsh or choppy. The truck is a lot heavier now, but is tight and controlled.
My only complaint is the heavy LT tires. My next set will be P metric again. I’m not a fan of unsprung weight on a road car. If it was purely off road it would be fine, but this ain’t Baja.

We stretched her legs a couple times since my last update. When the trails get nasty, the 200 definitely has some quirks that the 100 didn’t.
You can feel the weight more. The 100 always felt agile and the 200 feels more like it’s weight. Maybe it’s the overshadowing thought of cost and how much newer it is verses the old beater 100. Could be the stiffer LC springs too.
I don’t like it automatically going to height mode when shifted to low range, that pisses me off, especially if it’s in a technical area.
The throttle mapping in low range is frustrating, especially if need more aggressive mapping. It becomes very non linear.
Atrac is more responsive in the 200, you don’t feel like your approaching differential grenadine levels of wheel spin before it works. Which is really good with heavy knobby tires.

That’s the same set manufactured for the Supercharged LX570 from Middle Eastern countries. They were contracted through China and supposedly are from a Toyota vendor, but are unlicensed products, even though they were on new trucks modified through dealer networks.
Getting information from the techs on the Supercharged project was almost impossible.
But that’s the set I’ve got saved on my eBay cart. Lol

I’m going to order them this spring, but for now my baller build is paused after what we spent on the Airstream.
I know $500 is nothing compared to the $$ I spent on it last year, but hey, the coin purse was bound to run out sometime. Hehe
At least it’s out on the trails breaking a sweat when nearly every rig in DFW are parking lot queens. She’s already got pinstripes down both sides on a new full paint job.

I'd like to hear details of what went into getting the AHS working with the LC springs. Did you drive the truck much, or at all, with the stock springs and all of the new equipment installed? I am curious to know if there was an improvement in ride quality with the heavier springs, or if it was more peace of mind knowing the AHS system wasn't bearing as much of the weight?
