Did your front driveshaft fail where you had ground on it to clear the skidpalte? I am using a similar shaft up front, and if something else was the casue I do not want to replicate your mess...

I know you would. Never seen anyone more willing to help than you are, that's for sure.
It came apart in the middle. Definitly because I got it hot when I ground it. It had a little wobble and it finally had enough.
If I had just machined it in the first place instead of grinding it, it probably would be fine.
I just wish I had some warning before it blew up. I had 5 seconds of vibration and then BOOM!
No sweat, I am building the next one with 12" slip, 1.5" stress proof rod, Toy upper joint and 1310 lower.
Giddy up!
Putting it all together on Wed night and wheeling on Saturday if it kills me!
