There is lot of info (and strong opinions) on roof top tents on this site and at expedition portal. My two cents, decide between hard-shell and soft and compare from there. Ideally, you'd want to see a number of them side by side (like at the NW Overland Rally near Leavenworth WA June 15-18 or Overland Expo West next week in Flagstaff).
Tepui Tents (Soquel / Santa Cruz) and CVT (Bend) seem the market share leaders with lots of choices. I ultimately chose a CVT Shasta from their Summit series (burly build and some nice addl features). I installed off the back of the truck for weather cover & use of the tailgate for gear access and cooking.

Those are stainless steel tow hooks that Luke attached (said he got them from a marine parts place), so they shouldn't rust. A little jewelry never hurts.More front photos as requested:

Do you have any pix of it folded up and stored away? There is lot of info (and strong opinions) on roof top tents on this site and at expedition portal. I don't think they are on the site yet. Write to Luke and he'll get you taken care of. I live local, so I just wandered into the shop. I think he told me that there are already a dozen folks who have them on order. As for the Danes...highly recommend. We've had Danes since we got married. The two we have now are numbers 4 and 5. Main downside is short lifespan. We've been lucky to get 10-11 years.I really like that bumper, seems light weight. Not a fan of how far that tube sticks out but might be the angle. Always wanted a Dane.
EDIT: I dont see that front bumper on the site. Do you have a link?
Luke ordered the Method NV wheels with the appropriate backspacing already built in when they arrived. Pretty cool.Love the method wheels. Those are the NV's? Are you running spacers? I really like Method wheels but it was my understanding the backspace was not enough and you need to run spacers and no caps. Good looking truck!
Amazingly...virtually nothing has ever broken. I've done the scheduled mainentence, with the exception of the timing belt, which is way overdue and I'm going to get done this week. The light switch on the center dome is broken off, and I am struggling to find a replacement. Will probably need to fab something. Other than that...unbelievable...but NOTHING. This is rule number one of why I LOVE Cruisers. If you take care of them, they tend to run forever.Since you had it from new what kind of maintenance have you done to keep it running and what parts broke and had to be replaced? Great Build!
The 18" methods come in the correct backspacing for our cruisers, thats what I'm running.Love the method wheels. Those are the NV's? Are you running spacers?
