You should give us a call. We have these down to a science and can provide all the conversion parts as well as the H55f/transfer. Not only that we even have spreedsheets for every single GM bolt, nut, clip, bracket, etc you would need to get if you bought a bare reman long block like that. I can give you a cost on what you'll spend on everything else to do the job correctly so you can know exactly what to expect to spend, as well as tech support throughout the whole project.

It's hard to beat an LS swap for power, reliability, tech support on swap in to an LC. It's rarely about being fast, it's about low effort power to carry family/gear/trailer, which fits your needs nicely. Costs can definitely add up, but it's often still overall the cheapest way to get a V8 in a 60 chassis.

The decision has been made, the blessing from the wife secured ;). I've got a line on a 5.3L GM reman (LM7) and am going to pair it with a new H55f/t-case with overdrive gear set from Cruiser Teq. While it's in the shop, I'll have a dual battery setup and a full set of Speed Hut gauges installed. I've got a couple of options for who will do the work, it will really boil down to who can get me in first.
