Things I still Need

Here is the plan

I want to stretch the rear 6" by extending the frame. Going to try and source some longer springs for the rear. For now I will be running springs, will go to links at a later date

I plan to Weld the front and rear until I get the funds for a selectable locker. I also plan to run the stock 30 spline outers unless there is money left over from the build.

Anyone have any suggestions. I will get some pics up soon

What's the rest of the drivetrain consist of? I'd pick up another hy steer arm too. Those axles geared at 4.56? I'd go farther than a 6" stretch for sure. You'll *want to be around 105" WB. Winch size? May as well buy 8 link ends & some DOM tube & link out the rear before you start breaking leafs. I'd source a pair of used Detroits if your gonna go thru the axles anyway instead of welding it up. Is this truck stockish? You're gonna need some tubing for a cage, shock hoops, bumpers ,etc.

about damn time

this rig does fine with the fine asian legs it has worn so well. Put some stout american iron under there and she will only get better. dont bother with links and lockers and other such details-they only make you feel sad that you spent so much time on a project that is only going to get rolled anyway. Spark the welder and let her rip.

axles are 4.11s:) but casey has gears and SBC power. Perhaps this machine will be wheeling before Obama spends another trillion. (you dont have much time)

$20 says casey's one-toned rock Whore is mollesting the granite of our local High Sierras before the kiddies head back to school. any takers?

I am running A sbc, sm465, Toybox to splitcase. I am already at 100" wheel base. The axles are good and tight and I am going to have the rotors machined (have a source with a machine that can do it on the vehicle) and weld it up and run it. The cruiser is no way stock antmore. When I start breaking leafs I will look into linking it. I am running fj60 leafs and I have another set on the side of the house.

Hopefully dusty, I will have the front mounted next weekend. Just waiting for parts now.

35 spline is a good place to spend some cash. joints shafts and drive flanges can be had for about $5-600 and are cheap insurance against an inevitable trail repair on the stock 30 spline stuff.

On my 40 I ran the 55 rear leaves and it did great. I bounced that thing pretty good (no shocks either) and it held fine.
