These were being shipped from Panama to Dubai via FEDEX yesterday.

What motor is in those 76s? Has a small bonnet scoop. Unlike the larger scoop for the intercooler on the 4.5 litre V8 we get here in Australia. My 76 should land in October/November.

Probably either the 1HZ or the 1GR-FE

From Panamá how you din't tell me .. one of those could disappear !!!!

I notice the small hood scoop too .. and 1HZ usually don't bring it .. that it's the size of those hi lux / fortuners with 1KD-FTV ..

Maybe some mob has put a turbo and top mount on the new rig,
Top Mounts with the hilux or patrol scoops seem to be very popular mod here in OZ with the 80s and 105s

I will crack my head whether these 70 series is brand new???? Underneath is so dirty here and there. The extended shackle shouldn't be from "factory"??
Seem like the front is kind of lifted higher than the rear, Whatever purpose??:D
From Panama to Dubai??? Heaps of 70series in Dubai.:grinpimp: Why all the troubles??

There are more than a few companies in the states that armor up the 70 series, 4runners, Prados and 200 series. And I would venture a guess there are more than a few down in south/central America that armor them up. Always a need for armored executive transportation in bad neighborhoods.

The armored and non-armored 76s in the 'Stan were all HZJs, the armored ones all had beefed up springs with stock shackles also, and 2 of 3 had aftermarket turbo and hood scoop:meh:

Nice. What is the red "fire" switch for, some sort of on-board extinguishing system?

Yeah, the companies that armor them up do some innovative things with passenger and vehicle survivability upgrades. No good driving an 8000lb armored truck if it can be easily disabled or set on fire:grinpimp:

Look at the window framing around the doors. Hood poop means 4.5 v8 diesel and those fugly shackles on the back. They can have them.

A few bullets in the rad and engine compartment and pray to your maker that is not going to be someones coffin . The world we live in .

Thanks for posting them.

Hood poop with a air hole across the whole lump means 4.5v8
Just a hilux style scoop to one side I would guess 1hz with cooler top mount ,
All though the gear shifter does look to be in a different spot to the hzj 78-79 round headlights version ( with r151) and the rubber boot is different. Maybe because it's LHD.
The shifter is more in the h150 gear box spot
Could they be petrols as they have the h150 ? Maybe not for military use though?
