This is second hand info from the wife so sorry for the lack of detail. As she was coasting to a stop on a flat surface at maybe 40mph with little pressure applied to the brakes, she said the car skidded as if on ice. It’s bone dry out here in Texas so you can rule out rain.

There was no pulsating (ABS) or loss of pressure feel from the pedal as well as no brake alarm. Brand new tires too.

I’ve been paranoid about the brake booster since I’m over 300k miles, but the booster motor runs at 30 seconds upon testing its health. Any ideas what happened or just chalk it up to maybe gravel on concrete..

Black ice 🤪

It doesn’t sound like a brake issue, honestly.

I am having this problem intermittently on my 2002, 166k, I have heard a lot of talk about wheel speed sensors and the Yaw sensor. Any other ideas as to what may cause this?

Process of elimination is always the best approach to an unusual symptom (like what Dr. Gregory House said
I would service the brakes by physically inspecting it: put the cruiser’s front in jack stands, remove tires in front, check brake pads and rotors (cracks), check debris, check rust and movement of pistons, bleed possible air pockets in the line, top up with new brake fluid and test drive.
