Does anyone have any bright ideas on how I can remove the rear drums on a semi-floater?
The adjusters are not visible, and I'm not sure if they are even there.
I'm assuming the drum wont come off due to the ridge that has probably formed on the shoes. The retaining screw has been removed, but they won't budge.

B F H works EVERY TIME.

I did, they ain't there.
Howdy! Sounds like the P.O. installed the wheel cylinders upsidedown. Cut off the little shoe retainer clips that have a small nail head on the inboard side of the brake flange. Then soak, hammer, and pry till they come off. John

Drum Removal

I was able to get a long thin screwdriver into the openings in the backing plate (past the cylinders) and pound on the inside face of the drum.

It took a couple of good hits alternating between the top and bottom, but it worked the drum off when nothing else worked (including the BFH).

Good Luck!

I found success with a pair of B F S (screwdrivers) attack 180 degrees from each other and work around the drum against the backing plate. PB blaster helps too.
