I wish I had seen @elkaholic s suggest for yellow roses a bit earlier. I just snagged a bottle of BT and heard the same story about it selling out quickly etc. surprised the price hasn’t been adjusted upward, I suppose that’s the beauty of the guberment controlling the distribution.

I also bought a bottle of four roses which I’ve not tried yet, I got the regular one, not the small batch or the single barrel. Excited to taste it.

@joyRidaz dont fret too much over the BT. The secret is to buy it in areas where it is not hyped. I was in Providence, RI earlier this year and several stores had significant supply. When I asked them, they stated they had trouble selling it ...

It is good but I am not sure it is up to the hype.

Now, i’ll Pay a pretty steep bounty for bottles of Elmer T Lee .....

When folks come here and see my bourbon collection, they almost always want some BT, but if they’ll allow me to, i’ll Open their eyes with the smoothness of Yellow Rose, and the bite of Wyoming Whiskey. I’ll give them some BT, but they almost always want more of one of the others depending on the taste they want at the moment.

Got a free bottle of Buffalo Trace today... sort of.


Went to grab a bottle of the stuff to give to my realtor for her being so kick ass during our buying process.

Safeway had a sale... buy a $100 bottle of something and get a $30 Bottle free..... so I bought myself a $100 bottle of glenfiddich select cask and got her the BT.


That's free right???

Well at least that's what i'll tell Andrea.


oh who am I kidding she will most likely drink most of the scotch.

I'll add being able to buy alcohol at supermarkets, costco again rocks.

The supermarkets have constant discounts with their club cards... the BT was actually only $21 and Costco mails me 25% off coupons all the time.

Visiting my mother & her husband in Chattanooga & tonight stopped by an established liquor store just blocks from the aquarium downtown & they have 7 CASES of Buffalo Trace for $29.99 a bottle. If anyone wants any I am glad to load up tomorrow. I know we have a few UC members that get to Charlotte with some frequency......

Nope, it’s something I always look for....have been told it only gets released in the fall. I’ll snag a case then since at least 3 of you want a couple bottles!

FYI on Tuesday I got a bottle of BT for a similar price at the abc store in the arboretum. Limit 1 per customer, call ahead to confirm inventory...

Bought a case of 12 bottles. No discount. They had to commit to an entire cask to get some significant stock. The 7 cases spied last night were down to 3. I think they will be imposing limits of purchases after my visit as it seemed to catch them by surprise with my case purchase.

My daughter is on Long Island for meetings this morning (flew east from SFO yesterday). The front desk person was asking her how her trip was, and she relayed her horrible Uber experience. The lady felt pity on her, and gave her a free drink coupon. She's 22, and is not much of a drinker at all, so she was unsure of what to order. the Irish bartender gave her a glass of Blantons. The kid got her moneys worth out of the free drink coupon, and drinks better than we do. LOLOL.
