Hi, I don’t believe there are any tools or even a jack in my FJ40 - I would value seeing photos of where they should be stored in my cruiser, the mounting etc. I am going to try and source original parts but would value seeing what im aiming for.
Thanks
James

Check out post #51 on this link. That jack (brown with cast base) is a rare bird, but they show up from time to time. The later brown stamped steel base still fits and works fine until an original shows up

Mine is yellow (72 FJ40) and lived under the driver seat in the tool box with the crank handle. The handle extensions were in a clip behind the passenger side rear jump seat. I use a 6 ton harbor china bottle jack.

1981 Jack sits behind the drivers seat in this holder. Currently rebuilding that part of the tub. The Jack handles clip into tabs on the passenger side wheel well top. Jack looks like this… oddly only have photos of when I was taking it apart and fixing it

I would love to see a picture of the jack holder in situ, I have sourced from eBay the parts, but not clear to me exactly where it should fit as nothing obvious in the tub

Really helpful thank you.
I have a RHD model and the space behind the drivers seat is taken up by the fuel pipe housing, I will try and fit it as your has been on what for me will be the passenger side .
