Calling @charliemeyer007 in a post in some thread you mentioned you had an upper shelf above the windshield. Any Chance you have some pictures as to how it is attached/installed?

Yea I can that for you. The board is mahogany from a crate that a wreck Huey from South America Brazil I think was shipped in for repair in like 1978. The brackets were just some I found and used screws that were already there. I did the same for the rear shelf by the ambulance doors. Both were installed like about 1984 or so. I just took out the back shelf the other day to work cracks in the roof from 130% snow load. The rig is tarp and its fixing to rain - so I get some pic's in the morning.

Thanks Charlie appreciate it

I have one if you want it - attaches to the drip rail - metal
Defininetley OK with receiving some more options. Not sure it's what I want to do yet. At face value sounds like it might be some something I could use

Are you guys referring to the type of shelf used in some long haul tractors….kind of like a storage space up by the sun visors?

I would love to see that as well

Yes Sir, that is what I am thinking. Something that runs from top of door to top of door. About 6-8" deep starting at the top of windshield frame.

Currently have my stereo in the Tuffy console. I am also adding a rear locker and will need a place for my switches. Ideally I want these in reach when the seat belt is locked up and I am all the way back on the seat. The stereo would be in the way of installing these. I thought about making a small bracket that sits off the front of the Tuffy to house these. Thinking if I could put them in the top of that stereo slot I would be able to close the lid. Just some things I am pondering....

Oh…!! I definitely need one of those.

@Land Shark what did you do with those very cool seats?

Currently they are sitting in my shop. A club member was thinking he wanted them for his 60 build.

Wow what a PIA. My bluetooth dongle went out. Then the bank wouldn't let me plus the internet bogged down to a crawl....

Any way here are the pic's of the shelfs that I could get from the phone to the lap top

So on the wide back shelf, I wired down my entrenching tool and a boys ax. On top of those I jammed in a blanket and a field jacket to keep the stuff from rattling. Also there was a locking block in the gutters to keep the shelf from moving if the bracket failed. I don't know where those went.

The front shelf also had speakers and the Radio/CD player plus some other small things. The 2M HAM rig is going up there

Great option for storage and other accessories with over stuffing another limited free space. Speakers especially

I've got one of these SOR Overhead Consoles in my garage sitting in a box I'm about to post up for sale... shipping would probably make it difficult though...

Much appreciated sir. Give me something to think about

Yeah probably so and more than what I would want to sink into this
