Thanks Charlie appreciate itYea I can that for you. The board is mahogany from a crate that a wreck Huey from South America Brazil I think was shipped in for repair in like 1978. The brackets were just some I found and used screws that were already there. I did the same for the rear shelf by the ambulance doors. Both were installed like about 1984 or so. I just took out the back shelf the other day to work cracks in the roof from 130% snow load. The rig is tarp and its fixing to rain - so I get some pic's in the morning.
I have one if you want it - attaches to the drip rail - metalCalling @charliemeyer007 in a post in some thread you mentioned you had an upper shelf above the windshield. Any Chance you have some pictures as to how it is attached/installed?
Defininetley OK with receiving some more options. Not sure it's what I want to do yet. At face value sounds like it might be some something I could useI have one if you want it - attaches to the drip rail - metal
Yes Sir, that is what I am thinking. Something that runs from top of door to top of door. About 6-8" deep starting at the top of windshield frame. Are you guys referring to the type of shelf used in some long haul tractors….kind of like a storage space up by the sun visors?
I would love to see that as well
Currently they are sitting in my shop. A club member was thinking he wanted them for his 60 build.
Much appreciated sir. Give me something to think aboutSo on the wide back shelf, I wired down my entrenching tool and a boys ax. On top of those I jammed in a blanket and a field jacket to keep the stuff from rattling. Also there was a locking block in the gutters to keep the shelf from moving if the bracket failed. I don't know where those went.
The front shelf also had speakers and the Radio/CD player plus some other small things. The 2M HAM rig is going up there
