Nice job - that looks slick! One other note: I ran the throttle cable above the turbo - I'm not sure if that's important?

I got the same gauge and setup as you. I didn't think of putting the controller in the ash tray. Its a great place to keep it. I am still debating about where I am going to mount the display itself as my phone currently sits where you have put yours. I am debating about on the left hand side of the dash by the A pillar still not sure where though. Ill figure it out once it gets here from AUS.well finally went WOT after getting my gauge installed yesterday.
HOLLEEE FOOK. Had more fun ripping this onto the highway confusing people when a big brick went flying past em then I do in my MUCH faster sleeper DD.
Max boost was 6.8psi. Water temp stayed <193. AFR stayed in a safe range. Though, my sensor was reading 15-15.1 at idle which is weird to me that its not right at 14.7. going to give it a few drive cycles as the battery was disconnected during install.

I played with a lot of ideas. I have my phone in a ram mount on the a pillar, using a grab handle bolt to add a ram ball.I got the same gauge and setup as you. I saw your ram mount idea from the turbo gauge thread and really like that idea. I think I am going to use the A pillar mount. I don't love the idea of having it right there as so called "Tweaker bait" but I also don't love the idea of it being so low and out of sight. I know a lot of people are running it down low but I'm thinking that's not my ideal spot. I'll figure it out and most likely change it a few times until I can get it where I want it.I played with a lot of ideas. I tried a mount under that and realized i didn't like how cluttered it felt over there with the gauge and wasn't easy to glance at.
where i have it now i had to file away part of the hvac trim, but figure i could source another if i ever removed the gauge.
I couldn't find anywhere that made for as clean of an install. So far pretty dang happy with it, except for the slight reflection on the windshield at night. Going to try changing the light illumination night setting to see if that does it.
It’s one from Napa, It is smaller than I like, but fits.@ Dirty Koala what washer resevoir are you running?
Now, after installing the turbo, do you feel like the 4.88's were needed? What I'm getting at is this: Were the gears a band-aid or were they an appropriate adjustment made sweeter by the turbo? I ask because I have an armored '97 on 315's. Not sure if I should leave the gears alone and look to increase power or if I should regear to get the rpm range closer to stock and then upgrade from there. Any feedback is appreciated and nice rig!Hey everyone, looks like there is a collection of people waiting for the turbo kit. Well I wanted to provide you with a little motivation and incentive to stay patient. The kit has transformed the truck and has changed the driving experience drastically. For what it’s worth, I have 4:88s on 35x12.5 at sea level and it is a hoooooot to drive. I know it’s a lot of cash to invest and that’s how you should look at it, an investment because it transforms these trucks into an absolute treat to drive and own! So I say, stay patient and stay safe! It’s so worth it. I have a few things to buckle down than I plan on getting some videos together for everyone to enjoy. Cheers,

I was noticing that my engine is twisting enough so that the impression of the throttle cable (which was on top of the turbo) was visible on the underhood insulation. So, I moved it under the turbo. Still, I'm seeing impression of the short hose between the turbo and TB on the hood insulation. I ordered a new driver side motor mount just to rule out a tired motor mount.
On another note, did 1200 miles tooling around SW UT last week and 300 miles of it was on dirt roads. The engine did real well, enabling me to climb and maintain hwy speeds all day long. Cruise control held the hills in AZ, NM and UT easily while the elevations ranged from 4,xxx ft to 10,xxx ft. The power button was never even pushed. I setup a Covic-19 movie theater in the wilds of UT for some Monty Python action.
I'm running 315s, 4.56 and a 3" lift. She can do 100 mph easily but I kept running out of straight section of hwys. Between the whiteline swaybars and the Ironman 4x4 foam cell shocks, she was rock steady, all be in a little wind noisy inside the cab at those speeds.

Nice! Looks like you're seeing water temps around 202?
I was hitting 200-205 on slow fireroad climbs (not in 4lo) and on long highway climbs. Running a blue hub (unmodified) and an all oem new cooling system.
Debating modifying my blue hub + adding an electric LCP fan or just saying screw it and tossing a ron davis in.
Nice. I've been pegged at 194* 99% of the time.It was 202 deg when you're sub sonicbut mostly it sits in the upper 190s for this time of the year in the Southwest.
