There was someone here that took their 80 series body off and they were going to mount a J-55 Body on the 80 frame. Maybe they were going to mount another body on the 80 don't remember. They showed pics of the chassis of the 80.

What was the name of that thread?

Thanks
SS

Aha, the old "I'm a foreigner" excuse! Sorry, Christo, but like me, you've been here too long! :)

Waggoner,

Did you think about putting a BJ-55 body on it? That is one cool Cruiser..

It never crossed my mind about the 55. I have 2 wagons already, and wanted a pickup. Plus the fact that I had a 45 pickup redy and willing to go under the knife. Go back to sleep Christo :)

The real truth is his neighbors said "Your new pool sure looks nice, but what's that red piece of sh!t on the trailer sitting next to it?" :flipoff2:

There is a thread about 8 months ago where a member was planning to put a 40 body on an 80 chassis. He posted 3 or 4 pics of the 80 chassis without a body. There were some wooden supports in the pics. Is that what you're thinking of?

ChuckB,

Great restorations on that site. That 55 Series to me is a classic for sure.
