Yes, but there's a lot of dirt there and it turned out that only about half of the marks made it into the paint.

Absolutely. I had a 3 week old paint re-spray on my 80 and it came out of the trail looking just like this. Most could be buffed out, but definitely not all. After this ride, I no longer cared about my paint. In that regard, it was a very liberating experience.

Yep you were the whole reason we now warn everyone about the pin striping. I believe it was Chuck who said that there would be slight pin striping and there is nothing slight. Was really overgrown when we went this August. So it will be worse due to the bushes drying out for winter.
