Let's hear it for our amazing (and mysterious) US Postal Service.
About a month ago after I got my new t-bird emblem from Gene (LandCruiserJunky), I dropped the loaner emblem that Jim (Cruiser_Nerd) so graciously let me borrow into a USPS Priority Mail box for an anticipated prompt 3-day return.
After not hearing from Jim for nearly a month that he received it, I went into the expected panic and started cursing myself for not springing an extra buck or two to send it registered mail (with a tracking number).
Obviously I put Jim's
correct address on the box to begin with . . . . otherwise Bloomingdale's wouldn't have known where to eventually send it.
But, how the hell it ended up in another city at another address that's not
even close to Jim's, is anyone's guess. (
Play Twilight Zone theme here.)
Anyway, I'm going to start doing all my FJ25 parts shopping at Bloomingdale's from now on. With that kind of customer service, how can you go wrong??
Thanks again, Jim. Now I can call back the Suicide Hot Line and tell them to take me off their "watch list."
