I'm trying to figure out a way to bleed the front just like the back. The back just bleeds on it's own with the key on position, pump running. The fronts don't do that. It would be extremely nice if there was a way to make the fronts bleed like the rears. I don't have a helper to push the pedal.

I have techstream working well. Using airbleed under the options menu does nothing as far as I can tell. I'm alone with no help to perform open/close and do mouse clicks at the same time so who knows.
I'm baselining and I'd just like to run a bunch of fluid through the fronts. So if there is a way I would really like to know.

I pulled a vacuum and ran some through the drivers side front, but that takes forever.

In the "olden days" we put brake fluid into a glass container, leaving room for more fluid. Then put a piece of vacuum hose on the bleeder screw and placed the other end into the container with fluid in it, making sure that the end of the hose was submerged in brake fluid. Then we loosened the bleeder, crawled out from under the car, and slowly pressed the brake pedal. In an ideal situation you could place the container in a place where you could see it. Easy to do on the drivers side, not so easy on the passenger side.

sorry to confuse, if you put a board between the brake pedal and the bottom of your seat to hold the pedal down a few inches the rear brakes on my 06 just bleed and bleed with the key in the ignition on position and bleeder open. Close bleeder and the pump stops. I suspect it works without the pedal held down also. I just didn't try that. edit, 10/17,, the rears only continually bleed with a little pressure on the pedal. Pump it once, and set a 2x4 on the pedal to hold it down. Then the rears will auto bleed with the bleeders open.
I wouldn't let the pump run very long like this. I did 5 seconds max at one time.

I was thinking there might be a way to do that with the fronts also. As in a bypass or something, wire jumper, techstream menu, etc.
I don't have a problem vacuum bleeding the front by hand, but getting 13 ounces out took me a long time on the driver's side front caliper.
The reservoir doesn't have any open holes in the top to evacuate the old fluid, so I was fluid exchanging the whole thing from the calipers.

Being my OCD self if I took 16 ounces from the rear calipers, I also want to take the same from the front, in the easiest, fastest manner.
I know I'm crazy, I know my brakes are fine.

Thank you mike6158, I sort of thought of that. Just didn't want to introduce any air to the system (possibly), I don't have brake issues, just changing fluid. I also wanted to make a pressure bleed cap but I didn't want to spend money making one.
I figured I would ask. Thank you guys

jerryb, I feel your pain. I've been trying to figure out the best way to do this for years. I have another flush due this month so hopefully we'll get some helpful responses!
