I had similar process with Teseven 1/2 tub yesterday. The rear door opening was not straight at all, 10 mm difference from the bottom to the up, within only 365 mm distance.

So, jacking up time.

Hey Matti, looking good. I have to say overall the tub is good but there were some fitment issues that’s for sure. I see you have the weatherstrip channel on your 1/2 tub. Fabien builds them like that now but mine was an early model so I don’t have it. I could weld it in but I feel that it would be weakening the corners where the outside sheet metal meets the corner. So I have opted not to cut and go with the overlap like Teseven recommends

There is some issues with those channels, they are too deep at sides (should be 15 mm, but they are 19-20 mm) and the bottom (sill) is not straight in any direction. 😩 I have to buy a second can of aluminium bondo.

The tub was also a little bit too long too at beginning, HT sides didn’t went over the edge.

A 12 hour day today, only stopped for one meal, I’m actually really tired. Tomorrow I will put in the modified jump seats and fiddle with the ambulance door alignment a little bit more. I might as well do this now before it’s painted and then I can’t make anymore adjustments.

Yes I see that, very deep channel indeed.

Monday is seat Porn! My jump seat
Turned out really good, not sure if I’ve posted these before but I had to lower the rear seat stations because the inner wheel jumps are about 1” higher so I can easily clear larger tires. It would have been nice to know before I powder coated the seat frames but I ended up moving the brackets and welding them and then redoing the powder coat. Today I will install these.

''Aluminum body filler'' I did this and found out about electrolyse ! aluminum and steel together will cause electrolyse. Corroded my steel tub !I would look at a rummer membrane instead.

Well, It’s been awhile since I’ve posted, and lots has happened. I finally got my cruiser into the paint shop and had the tub and fenders painted. Now I can wire, plumb and fit the interior and hopefully get it running. Once I’ve done all that the body shop is getting the second set of sheet metal and it’s assembly time. Colour is Nordic Blue 837 and it turned out really great . I’m really Glad I went with the factory colour. I will update With pictures as I go

I hope that yours Teseven tubs are made with more accurate dimensions. It took too much time to get this right.

They all have their issues, I had some windshield frame attachment issues but I was sent new pieces and moved them over to the correct position. I don’t have the channel because the door deal will sit in top of the edge. I’ll post pictures when I get to that stage. Should all work out ok in the end.
