Well finally it's back in the saddle again. Everytime I was about to stuff it back in i would find something that I should take care of before I have the power train in because it would make it easier.
After all that I still forgot to remove the broken stud for my clutch slave cylinder. Now it will be a bear to get at it because the frame rail is in the way, there is always something isn't there.
On another note Teseven contacted me thos morning and said they are back from the SEMA show and will be sending my tub tomorrow. So it looks like the end of December first week of January for delivery. I will keep you all posted. Thanks for reading.

I know I need rims bad don't I? They are on the to buy list, I just can't decide whether to go factory white 6x15 inch rims, white 8x15 mods, or some nice Mickey Thomson 8x16 rims and 33 inch tires. Doesn't matter which rim I choose, it will get around a 33 inch tire. I would really appreciate some input from you guys, please.

I figured it out, I had my valve cover on to keep the engine clean and.what I thought was a pushrod is instead a head stud. I pulled the valve cover today and the pushrods are on either side of the hole. Now everything makes sense, thank you for your help Lost Marbles. I think I will still install the frost plugs. Man I can't believe that fooled me for so long, I've been working too much I must be tired haha.
Glad to hear that! I was stressed about it... Its almost impossible to get a light in there when the motor is in the truck.

Hey sorry I was meaning to let you know when I found out but I've been hair straight back everyday.
It had me stumped for a few days until I decided to investigate it, as soon as I lifted the valve cover I was like D'oh!
Thanks again for getting me those pics btw, I might need to bug you a few more times as sh starts to come back together.

Hey, no problem! Any time.

Yes sir, that's my baby. I just saw that and was going to post it up. Does it ever look good, I absolutely can't wait to pick that up.

Just a quick update before I'm out of cell range. My tub is on a container ship leaving Hamburg Germany and will arrive in Montreal on the 28th. Then it's off to Vancouver via train, I have hired a customs broker to handle the paper work so that should make it a bit easier. I should have it by the 2nd week of January and I will do a mega upload when I get it and test fit it before it goes to the paint shop. Merry Christmas everybody, talk to you soon.

I still can't get over how they go above and beyond on their shipping crate. It takes him 12 hours to build and I get to keep it. This is my tub being prepared for shipping. Very happy with Teseven thus far.

Just for a change of scenery. This little bastard is called a fuel purifier and it's lost its mind and barfed fuel all over the deck twice today. I took it all apart and cleaned the 50 or so stainless cups inside, now I can hopefully get more than 3 hours sleep in a row without the machinery alarm going off. Cheers.

I hope for your sanity you can shut down the screaming devil that's behind it whilst you work on it ;)

Diogenese: good eye, that is in fact an 8v71 "Screaming Jimmy" in the back ground but not to worry that's the winch engine and she is rarely used because the tug has been converted to a push style tug.

I've swapped out a 4-71 for a cummins c series as an aux genset in a fishing boat and the crew could get some sleep ;) I've done some work on a V12 main engine...

Can you provide some more info on the Teseven tubs? How hard are they to get? It would be cool if mud members could place a order from the americas and have them shipped all together every six months or so. Say for example one or 2 guys wanted a half tub, another guy wanted a stainless complete tub, another 2 or 3 guys want 3 or 4 standard complete tubs. It would be cool if they could all be organized to be ordered in such a way to all be shipped back together to save everyone money. Teseven body parts seem like the elusive unicorn, please tell us what we gotta do to start ordering stuff from this guy.:bounce:

White stripe, I'd be happy to answer your questions as best as I can because I want to help people to keep these iconic vehicles on the road. What I know is that he runs batches of either all steel, aluminum or stainless, he will press 25 bodies at a time and weld them in his jig. I don't think he will mix and match. I would think it would take too long to get a container together and that with all the different orders and the different shipping locations in Canada and the US that it wouldn't be easy. I know he's swamped with European customers but he wants to branch out to North America and why wouldn't he. The issue is that there is a bit of a language barrier but his secretary Jessica does a really good job dealing with all your questions. It usually takes a day to get a response but that only because of the time difference. I would love to be his North American distributor. Because I think his product is the best there is but I need to verify it myself first hand before I could actually speak to that.

Ok the low down on the latest hold up. My tub is in Montreal, cost me another $402.65 for handling. Whatever! They wouldn't release it until I paid, so I paid the invoice except my bank screwed up another bank transfer. ( that's like the 5th one in the last year) I called this morning and the lady said the container has been selected for a random CBSA inspection that will cost me some more money because it apparently costs money to have them check my stuff, well of course it does. After they inspect it and I pay (again) it should be here in 5 days or so. I am hoping that there won't be another $400 dollar handling fee in Vancouver because that's getting a bit old and I'm getting ready to snap. They will hold it in their warehouse for up to 5 days and then they will start charging an unknown amount of storage fee per day. I am off tomorrow for 8 days and If I don't get it in that time I have to wait another week until im off again so that could get pricey. Nothing is easy in life my friends.
